Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last Updated: October 28, 2026
At Synpact Consulting Private Limited, we are committed to transparency, professionalism, and fair business practices in delivering valuation, financial advisory, financial modeling, and consulting services.
This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how requests for service cancellations, refunds, project modifications, and engagement termination are handled.
We encourage clients to review this policy and the terms of their engagement agreement before confirming a service.
1. Scope of This Policy
This policy applies to professional services provided by Synpact Consulting Private Limited, including but not limited to:
- Business valuation and financial reporting valuation services
- ASC 805 Purchase Price Allocation
- ASC 820 Fair Value Measurement
- ASC 350 Goodwill Impairment Valuation
- 409A Valuation and equity-related valuation services
- Financial modeling and investment banking support
- Equity research and private equity advisory support
- Outsourced CFO and financial reporting services
- Finance, accounting, and other consulting services
All engagements are subject to the terms agreed upon in the relevant proposal, statement of work, service agreement, or other written engagement documentation.
If a signed engagement agreement contains specific cancellation, payment, or refund provisions, those provisions will govern to the extent permitted by applicable law.
2. Service Confirmation and Engagement
A consulting engagement generally begins once the client accepts the applicable proposal or engagement terms and the agreed commencement requirements have been satisfied.
Depending on the service, these requirements may include payment of an advance fee, submission of necessary documents, confirmation of project scope, or written authorization to proceed.
Project timelines and deliverables are determined by the agreed scope of work.
3. Cancellation Before Work Begins
Clients may submit a written request to cancel an engagement before substantive project work has commenced.
Where cancellation is requested before work begins, any refund eligibility will be determined according to the applicable engagement agreement, payments received, and any costs or commitments already incurred.
If a refund is applicable, Synpact Consulting will communicate the eligible amount and processing arrangements to the client.
4. Cancellation After Work Has Started
Professional valuation and consulting services involve specialized expertise, research, financial analysis, modeling, and allocation of professional resources.
If a client requests cancellation after work has commenced, Synpact Consulting will review:
- The work completed up to the cancellation date
- Professional time and resources already committed
- Research, modeling, and analysis performed
- Third-party expenses incurred, where applicable
- Deliverables completed or substantially prepared
- The payment and cancellation terms in the engagement agreement
Any refund or outstanding payment will be determined in accordance with the agreed contractual terms and applicable law.
Cancellation does not automatically entitle the client to a full refund once services have commenced.
5. Completed Services and Delivered Reports
Once the agreed services have been completed and the final deliverables have been provided, refund requests will be reviewed in accordance with the engagement agreement and applicable legal requirements.
The delivery of a professional valuation report, financial model, research analysis, or consulting deliverable generally represents completion of the relevant contracted service, subject to any agreed review or revision obligations.
If a client identifies a potential error or concern with a deliverable, we encourage the client to contact us promptly so the matter can be reviewed.
6. Refund Requests
Clients who wish to request a refund should contact Synpact Consulting through our official contact channels.
A refund request should include:
- Client or company name
- Contact email address
- Relevant project or engagement reference
- Description of the service purchased
- Date and amount of payment, if applicable
- Reason for requesting a refund
- Relevant supporting documents
Our team will review the request against the applicable engagement terms and communicate the outcome.
Submitting a refund request does not guarantee approval.
7. Refund Processing
If a refund is approved, Synpact Consulting will communicate the approved amount, intended payment method, and expected processing timeline.
Where practical, refunds may be issued through the original payment method. Alternative arrangements may be used where necessary and mutually agreed.
Actual receipt of funds may depend on the relevant bank, payment processor, payment method, and applicable banking requirements.
Any applicable deductions, charges, or adjustments will be handled according to the engagement agreement and applicable law.
8. Changes to Project Scope
Clients may request modifications to an ongoing engagement, including changes to deliverables, valuation requirements, reporting dates, assumptions, or project timelines.
Requested changes may require:
- Revised project scope
- Additional information or documentation
- Updated professional fees
- Adjusted delivery timelines
- Written approval of the revised engagement terms
Material changes will be discussed with the client before additional work is undertaken under the revised scope.
9. Project Delays and Client Responsibilities
Timely completion of valuation and consulting assignments often depends on receiving accurate and complete information from the client.
Delays may arise due to missing financial statements, incomplete forecasts, pending management responses, changes in assumptions, or other circumstances affecting the engagement.
Where delays occur, Synpact Consulting will communicate relevant project implications and work with the client to determine appropriate next steps.
Any cancellation or refund consequences arising from such delays will be governed by the applicable engagement agreement and law.
10. Professional Judgment and Valuation Outcomes
Valuation and financial advisory services involve professional judgment, financial analysis, assumptions, and the application of relevant valuation methodologies.
A valuation conclusion may differ from a client’s expectations or from estimates prepared by another party.
A difference in professional opinion or an unfavorable valuation outcome does not, by itself, establish an entitlement to a refund.
However, concerns regarding the agreed scope, methodology, factual accuracy, or quality of deliverables may be submitted for review.
11. Third-Party Fees and Expenses
Certain engagements may involve external data providers, research subscriptions, specialist resources, or other approved third-party expenses.
The treatment of these expenses in the event of cancellation will depend on the agreed engagement terms and whether the costs have already been incurred or committed.
12. Termination of an Engagement
Either party may request termination of an engagement in accordance with the applicable written agreement.
Upon termination, Synpact Consulting and the client will address outstanding fees, completed work, applicable deliverables, confidential information, and any continuing contractual obligations.
Refunds, if any, will be assessed under the relevant agreement and applicable law.
